Erythrulose is a vegan monosaccharide that activates the Maillard reaction on the skin. For this reason, it is a key ingredient in some self-tanning products and is also used in sun care formulations, as it produces a brownish coloration on the skin. It is derived from a natural source (fermentation of corn). Our Erythrulose is suitable as the sole tanning agent in tanning and sun care products.
